Overview:

Kristi has extensive experience as the Instrumentation & Electrical Team Leader, with a background spanning petrochemical, oil & gas, and industrial processing sectors, including cane and beet sugar, as well as food & beverage facilities.  In her leadership role, she has worked closely with owner representatives, project managers, and multidisciplinary leads to develop project schedules, scope definitions, budgets, and technical specifications for instrumentation and control systems.  Her responsibilities include overseeing the creation of detailed design packages such as control system architecture, I/O point lists, process control diagrams, loop drawings, and hazardous area classification plans.

Additionally, Kristi has served as an Electrical Engineering Department Head, designing and implementing control systems for a variety of commercial facilities, including hotels, nursing homes, restaurants, community centers, municipal buildings, and gaming venues.  She has also conducted power coordination studies for new designs and significant modifications to existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of instrumentation and electrical systems within complex project environments. 

Kristi has performed volunteer work within IEEE that includes positions as Director of the Board on IEEE-USA and IEEE – Educational Activities Board.  This required her to research and provide input, ideas, and opinions on issues including Tech Policy, government relations in regard to technology, university accreditation, professional development, and pre-college education and online course content.  For six years, she served as Director on the IEEE Foundation Board, which included project evaluation and selection on a worldwide basis to further the interests of the institute, participation in creating and evaluating the annual budget and evaluation of grant applications.
