Theresa is an accomplished HR leader with more than 25 years of progressive business experience spanning insurance, employee benefits, client relations, employee relations, and human resources (HR). Her career has been built through continuous growth – beginning in insurance operations and progressing through client management, sales, and benefits consulting before ultimately finding her passion in HR.

Throughout her career, Theresa has developed a deep understanding of both the business and human side of an organization. Her extensive experience in client service and employee benefits provided a solid foundation for her transition into HR, where she expanded her expertise in employee relations, organizational leadership, talent strategy, and workplace culture. A SHRM-certified professional and a lifelong learner, she has served as Head of Human Resources at Equity for the past five years. Most recently, she was appointed to Equity’s Board of Directors, expanding her contribution to the organization through corporate governance, strategic oversight, and enterprise-level decision-making.

Theresa is known for bringing empathy, emotional intelligence, sound judgement, and thoughtful problem-solving to complex situations. She is passionate about fairness, believes strongly in considering issues from multiple perspectives, and approaches leadership with both compassion and accountability.
