Lenin serves as a consulting engineer and team leader of the Materials & Corrosion team at Equity Engineering. He brings multiple decades of experience in formulation, execution, and management of multi-disciplined projects in oil & gas, specifically refineries and offshore and oil sands facilities, with a focus on operations, maintenance, reliability, and mechanical integrity.
Throughout his project work, Lenin shares his expertise in using API RPs 580 and 581 to develop RBI plans for fixed equipment, storage tanks, piping, and heat exchanger bundles. He is currently the API RP 581 consequence of failure (CoF) task group leader.
Prior to joining Equity Engineering, Lenin gained reliability engineering and mechanical integrity experience for upstream, refining, and manufacturing clients across multiple organizations in the USA, Canada, and Europe. Notably, he played a crucial role in implementing reliability programs in the oil sands and managing inspection compliance for multiple refineries units, mitigating risks, and enhancing operational excellence.
His expertise includes implementation of RBI, materials selection, corrosion control planning, development of standards and procedures, inspection, and repairs packages for shutdown activities. He also has multiple years of experience in enabling digital transformation of reliability and mechanical integrity programs. He is a subject matter expert in asset performance management tools, CMMS and IDMS suites.
