& Webinars

Connect with Equity by attending our monthly technical webinars, at upcoming industry tradeshows and conferences, or by listening to the Upon Further Inspection podcast. These events enable our SMEs to share their knowledge and offer practical recommendations for some of the mechanical integrity and reliability challenges facing refineries, chemical plants, and industrial facilities.

Monthly Webinars

Equity hosts free monthly webinars on several asset integrity topics, including fitness-for-service (FFS), damage mechanisms, mechanical integrity, pressure relief, and risk-based inspection (RBI) strategies. Each session offers practical recommendations from Equity SMEs with refinery and chemical plant experience.

  • What to Expect in the Next Publication of API 579-1/ ASME FFS-1 Fitness-For-Service

    December 3, 2026 | 11:00am EST

Fitness-For-Service (FFS) has proven to be one of the most impactful tools available to help owner-operators safely extend equipment life and optimize mechanical integrity decisions. FFS technology continues to evolve since the initial publication of API RP 579 in 2000. With each subsequent edition of the document there have been significant upgrades to existing technology as well as the introduction of new technology. This presentation will provide an overview what to expect in the next publication of API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 (API 579) as well as the on-going activities within the ASME/API FFS Joint Committee that will affect future editions of the International Code.
