Lindsey specializes in pressure relief system revalidation, PRD sizing, selection, and installation calculations to ensure compliance amongst standards for clients. She has used Aspen Flare System Analyzer to model a flare for a client site based on suggested PRV mitigations and written summary reports for the suggested mitigations for multiple client sites. Lindsey is a guest lecturer for the API 520/521 Pressure Relief Systems course.
At Equity Engineering, Lindsey has worked on projects using RBI technologies to analyze and adjust PRD inspection intervals. Additionally, she has worked on tube vibration analysis and tube rupture credibility assessments for heat exchangers. She supports and contributes to the Equity Engineering Practices, particularly to the cooling tower practices.
Before working at Equity Engineering, Lindsey worked as a process engineer for design projects in the chemicals, refining, and renewables industry. Some of her previous projects include a cooling water system redesign due to low flow, a distillation tower upgrade to support the growing demand of semiconductor fabrication, a hydrogen compressor installation, and multiple tank and instrument upgrades in the coker unit of a major refinery in the Midwest due to reliability issues prompting shutdown.
While on these projects, she was responsible for the demo and construction P&IDs, piping hydraulic calculations, and determining equipment, utility, and instrument requirements. Additionally, she created process simulations and heat & material balances using Aspen HYSYS and AFT Fathom to meet flow rate and line sizing EEPs.
