Overview:

Raj is a staff engineer with the Materials & Corrosion team at Equity Engineering.  In this role, his work includes performing HTHA FFS evaluations, P&ID level corrosion assessments, metallurgical failure analysis investigations, and consulting on weld repairs and fabrication issues.  Raj also has experience with Omega method creep testing and remaining life calculations, damage mechanism reviews, and weld residual stress simulations.  He is a member of the Resource Development Group (RDG) for ASME BPVC VIII Subgroup Materials and participates in API TG RP 582 meetings.

Prior to his full-time position, he was an intern for Equity, during which time he helped to develop and apply an advanced Level 3 HTHA analysis methodology to quantify total damage using weld simulation to model more accurate weld residual stress distributions.  Raj helped to optimize the HTHA assessment capabilities of Equity to create a more accurate consulting tool.  Additionally, Raj developed laboratory testing capabilities for non-standard micro-tensile and micro-Charpy tests on material extracted from in-service equipment via Equity’s Buckeye III scoop sampler.
