Overview:

Valerie Magyari leads the Business Development, Consulting Engineering, and CorrSolutions divisions at Equity.  She has extensive experience assisting with outlining mechanical integrity solutions across the refining and petrochemical industry.  She is involved in Equity strategy for the delivery of technology-focused asset integrity services and software as well as maximizing existing business relationships with both North American and international clients. 

Valerie has participated with colleagues in the development of outreach programs to benefit Equity clients and industry with quality informational technical publications and content, and actively seeks feedback from clients and industry to prioritize development of services and software aligned with developing solutions for next generation asset integrity.

In response to industry’s need for integrated software solutions with Equity developed software, Valerie initiated partnership and worked towards the successful integration of the Equity-developed API RBI software and Mistras PCMS software platforms.  She has participated in the implementation of this integrated platform internationally.

Valerie previously directed Equity’s risk-based inspection (RBI) consulting and implementation services in North America for 8 years.  She has extensive experience in RBI evaluations for refinery and chemical plant equipment, piping and pressure relief valves using the API RP 581 methodology and software.  She has also conducted relief valve RBI studies using a qualitative approach and participated in the development of the relief valve RBI methodology in API RP 581. 

Prior to joining Equity in 2003, Valerie gained process engineering and design experience for chemical, refining, and manufacturing clients.  She has been responsible for several pressure relief valve system studies in accordance with API RP 520/521 and has been involved in capital projects ranging from small chemical plant improvements to the design, construction, and start-up of a high-purity glass facility.  Her responsibilities have included process calculations, specification of associated control instrumentation, heat and material balances, development of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and operating procedures.
