Overview:

Ben is a member of the Mechanical & Structural Engineering team at Equity Engineering and supports the Equity Engineering Practices® (EEPs) piping specifications.  He provides oversight of the maintenance and consulting work related to the piping section of the EEPs.  He also performs ASME B31.3 pressure design and pipe design under external pressure per ASME Section VIII Division I calculations for new and existing piping specifications.  Additionally, Ben supports the Engineering Practices piping section by developing and maintaining current EEPs.

Ben supports the Mechanical & Structural Engineering team by performing FFS assessments in accordance with API 579, including Level 3 assessments involving advanced FEA techniques.  He also performs piping flexibility analyses and ASME Pressure Vessel Code calculations to determine compliance of fixed equipment assets in accordance with ASME codes.
