Tom is a staff engineer with the Rotating Equipment, Vibration, & Dynamics team at Equity Engineering. Prior to joining Equity Engineering, Tom worked as a maintenance engineer at a nuclear electricity-generating station where he served as a vibration engineer and a welding engineer.
As a vibration engineer, he was responsible for the condition monitoring of a wide range of pumps, fans, and motors. He has worked with a number of different vibration data acquisition systems for steady state and transient vibration data acquisition and testing. He has experience designing vibration control solutions to resonance problems, especially on vertical pumps.
As a welding engineer, Tom was responsible for plant maintenance welding activities, which included structural and piping repairs and modifications. He has experience qualifying welders and welding procedures according to ASME Section IX. He is also a Certified Welding Inspector.
